Motivated but TIRED!

I really can only dream of a day when I am a tenured teacher and do not have to remove my things from my classroom and start fresh. I know I do this upon myself, but it is what makes me feel excited to start with a new group, with new clean things. It's so overwhelming to stand in a classroom full of stuff. Plus the fact that I may have a slight tendency to resemble one of my students who has attention issues. I finish only parts of things I'm working on then I need to move to other things. I go back and forth leaving all sorts of projects lying around the floor. I have wanted to take pictures for 3 days now, but by the time I need to go pick up the girls, I'm so exhausted I can't wait to run to the nearest exit to sit in my car and enjoy... sitting... just that.

I found out today, I tentatively have... wait for it... 24 students. That in itself is the miracle of the day. I'm hoping it stays that way, but the ink won't be touching those name tags until next Monday morning (which by the way, I think I should start practicing my cursive now, cuz... well... it's a extremely little rusty.

I am exhausted but my new organized, bright colored/ zebra print room is giving me a strange new motivation and urge to keep going. Cheers (lifting my Diet Pepsi) to a wonderful new class in a wonderfully organized and decorated classroom!

My Very Hungry Caterpillar

So I have a lot of work cut out for myself to top this party. Tanya and I had an amazing time planning a party for Hayden's first and Adalyn's second birthdays. We decided to have a party in the theme of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. We followed all the food in the book. I created little cards depicting the food and revamping the book using Hayden and Addy as the caterpillars. The day was perfect. Other than a little bit of my own anxiety about having another birthday party at my house. The last one was followed by a large scare of E-Coli/ HUS and acute kidney failure in my Kate. I can't wait to start planning the carnival theme for next year. I just need to decided what I am going to do for Kate's in October. I am torn between a witch party since Hayden and Katy will be witches for Halloween or a donut themed party since Kate is obsessed with doughnuts! :) Here are some pictures from the big day! Enjoy and take time to enjoy the sweet spots (and treats) in your life!

Welcome back summer

Well it is finally summer again. Only the first day off and I pull my back out. It is painful, yet is allowing me a chance to catch up on a lot of rest and movies.

A lot has changed in the last few months. Hayden turned one and is walking everywhere. She is such a fun and lovable baby. I have never met an easier going personality. Hayden (aka Jelly, as Kate calls her loves books, climbing, giggling, and most of all her sister, aka Peanut Butter).

The playroom is almost done and designed by Katelyn. It is really a one of a kind room. :)

We have had a lot of fun over the last year and can't wait to have a lot more to post this summer!
