A new year a new effort

I know what you are thinking... Holy S#*% Jodie is actually updating her blog. I never thought that would happen. Well as a new year comes around. I am full of new ambitions and things I am willing to try to keep up with. Here are some new years resolutions I have if you don't already know them yet! :)

#1- Spend more "quality" time with my husband. I love Brandon to death, but I have a hard time of always showing it. Between the girls, and my job, Brandon is always supportive but time for just the two of us to talk about other things or just life doesn't seem to happen as often as it should. Also, I have a hard time leaving my girls at home. So I am creating a resolution to spend more one-on-one (date nights out)time with my wonderful hubby.

#2- I want to become more of a "life-a-holic" like my dear niece Ava. As we were having a dance party (all 4 of us) in the living room the other night and everyone is laughing and having so much fun, I thought, this is ideal. I need to have a little of this daily! I have a resolution to laugh more, live life more, and appreciate what is around me more.

#3- If you don't already know, I am thinking about applying for a job at Prairie. This one is a hard one. I have a huge desire to be the best teacher I can be and want to be where my girls will go to school. Being on the same school year/ break schedule as them is HUGE! This excites me however, it also terrifies me. I already dedicate A LOT of my time to school and am not sure if it would get worse. I am also terrified of failure and rejection. Resolution #3- is to suck it up, and try new things. I am perfectly happy where I am, so what is the worse that can happen. I stay where I am!

#4- Eat better. I don't want to be a mom who doesn't have the energy to play with her kids EVER! Even though I am fairly sure, by the time I hit my goal weight or close to will be the time I want another baby.

#5- Stay on top of things, that includes my school work, grading, keeping my house clean, and possibly blogging (I do great with my school one!). :)

I think that is a good start. Happy 2012! I am excited to see what rewards/ challenges the new year brings.
